This week, I’m still obsessed with Val’s style on Single Ladies!! Anthony is certainly in a league of his own, that’s why I was so happy to hear that Anthony is making himself accessible to all Single Ladies viewers and he’ll be answering all of your questions on Twitter about his work as a designer, what it’s like to style Stacey Dash, and anything else you can come up with in under 140 characters. Just tweet your questions with the hashtag #AskAnthony between 9 and 10 p.m. on Monday July 4th and VH1 will pick the best questions to be posted and answered by Anthony on the VH1 blog immediately following the show.

I know our Glam-Aholic’s are ready with their tweets!!

My New Fanny

I’m sure this happens to everyone. You walk in Target to pick up ONE item, but walk out with a basket full of “goodies”! Well in search of my niece a present for her 17th birthday, I picked up something that I just couldn’t leave behind..

This vintage-inspired fanny pack was immediately tossed in my basket! I’m always in search of a really good fanny, so finding a stylish one at Target was a definite surprise. And for $16.99 it was a steal of a deal!

It made it’s debut yesterday while me and my family took a trip to the zoo. This pic is also a perfect example of mixing highs & lows. I snagged this olive green romper from a sale rack at Forever 21 last summer for $7.99 :)

Glam-Aholic Look For Less

I mentioned these killer Christian Louboutin wedges($550) last year when I spotted my Auntie June Ambrose rockin’ them, in which she still currently keeps them in heavy rotation (via a few of her Twitpics)…

So I was crazy excited when I stumbled across these…

Wild Pair Cabot Wedges $69.99

No they are not high-end..but they are certainly inspired by the CL wedges. If you want the “look for less”, these are perfect to add to your shoe collection!

Indie Brand Spotlight: UNIF (Your Not Into Fashion)

I’m really into Indie brands, I love the rawness of the designer’s talent and the craftsmanship in his/her work. UNIF (Your Not Into Fashion) one of my favorite indie brands, designs are slick, fashion-forward fit with ideas of the city of the future. Hard edges and all. Eric Espinoza, started in the streets of Hollywood by hand dyeing, sewing and screen-printing in his backyard, creating pieces who would not bore everybody to death and produce clothes for his friends…

Five years later, Elle Magazine gave him a push after LA Fashion Week and there he found himself, selling to stores all over the world. Inspired by LA’s underground electronic music and the color splash of Californian life, he created everything from washed out denims to grunge inspired slickness.

Glam-Aholic Of The Week: Vanessa VanGlam

This week’s Glam-Aholic is a fashion icon in the making! Her style is WICKED, the handbags are SERIOUS and the shoe game is MAJOR. Every time Ms. Vanessa makes an appearance she “shows up” and in the fashion world her style is always a “Do”. So I had to share with our Glam-Aholics the career-driven, fashion muse that is..Vanessa VanGlam…

Arjaunjubri: What does FASHION mean to you?
Fashion is everything. Literally…everything. I feel think Fashion can be an outlet for anybody to express themselves. You can’t define it, but that’s what makes it so inspiring.
Arjaunjubri: What are some of your favorite trends that are happening right now?
I LOVE the Color-blocking trend right now. The brighter the better- and mixing brights with neutrals is really cool too. I also like the whole 70s Glam look that’s coming back, with the long flowy maxis, the wide brim hats, the wide leg trousers. The trend of pairing masculine pieces with really feminine pieces is really hot too.

Arjaunjubri:What are your 3 favorite hot spots to hit and find haute pieces?
There are soooo many places I shop, but I’d say top 3 would have to be BCBG, NastyGal, and Nordstrom. At these stores I can get both “on-trend” pieces and also a few classic staple pieces.

Arjaunjubri:  What trends do you love that mostly describe and inspire your style?
Trends that inspire me? Hmm. I guess I’d say the whole “Downtown” style. It’s pretty easy going but still has a uniqueness about it. I don’t like making a big fuss about what I put on- as long as there’s skinny jeans, baggy tops and hot shoes near I’m good. lol. I feel like being young I’m always going to incorporate different trends along the way. I’m not afraid of trying new things….ever. :)

Arjaunjubri: What are 3 things in your closet that you can NOT live without?
I can’t live without my Gap denim button up, my black Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Speedy bag, and my Michael Kors chunky large gold watch. The classics.

Arjaunjubri: Who do you look up to in the fashion industry? And who are your top 3 most fashionable celebs?
Top 3 Most fashionable celebs in my eyes- Ashley Olsen- simply amazing. Definitely Rihanna, she never lets me down. And even though I love all of the Kardashians, I’d say Kourtney K takes the cake. The image Monica Rose has created for all of the girls is genius.

Arjaunjubri: What tips can you give our Confessions Of A Glam-Aholic readers on how to achieve stylish looks?
Don’t be afraid to push the envelope and try out new trends. Mix black and brown!lol I had to add that in there because people think that’s a fashion “don’t”- but if done correctly it looks so dope. Invest in quality pieces for your wardrobe that will last you close to a lifetime instead of cheap things that will rip and tear after a few washes. And lastly-even though we live in a society where accessories are EVERYTHING, always remember less is more :)
