Classic denim now has a new look! I know many of you Glam-Aholics may be wondering what exactly is wax denim?! Wax jeans have shiny leather sheen with the same comfort of denim. It’s like the best of both worlds! Wax denim is your basic denim jeans coated with pigment to give it a “wet” like finish..

Just like some of your favorite pair of jeans, the wax does fade over time; however the shiny finish will stay.  Wax jeans have been flying under our radar for a few seasons, but are now becoming more relevant in stores everywhere!

Unlike pricey leather pants, wax jeans are affordable and can be worn with any and everything that you would rock with your standard denims! Making them one of the season’s must-haves for every Glam-Aholic…

There’s nothing like a pop of color to brighten your days! This season it’s all about adding the perfect pair of colorful heels to kick up your style routine.  Although it’s not Spring yet, you can still amp up your Winter with a bright pair of heels. Fashionista’s everywhere have been raving about the candy coated footwear trend! Even our favorite celebs have been spotted in the eye-catching brightly hued heels.  Remember when we featured Angela’s bold bright neon footwork from NYFW 2011? She definitely murdered these looks…

If you’re ready to add some extra flavor to your Winter wardrobe, then this trend is for you!  Bright pumps are the perfect statement piece to spice up a LBD. Who could forget the image of Beyonce stepping out in a pair of Aqua Louboutins?! She definitely let the shoes do the talking with this look…

The key to this statement look is to pair the heels with black, neutrals or color-block then add the bright lights to your feet! Fergie is definitely a fan, she mixes her bright heels with everything!

 Kicking into a fabulous pair can speak volumes about your personality. A pair of distressed jeans and a fitted tee or button-up, can go from causal weekend to club ready with the help of fierce colored heels.  You can even match your lipstick with your bright footwork! Same Girl…Different Hair: It’s A Lifestyle

Oops… I did it again! “Same Girl…Different Hair”, you already know the motto that we live by!  It’s so much more than just a slogan, it’s a Lifestyle! So for my latest session with my stylist Malika, we decided to go all out. We shaved off one side of my hair & cut “G L A M” inside.  As you guys can see, I’m having way too much fun with my short cut and I’m not sure if I’ll ever grow my hair back!

Did you Glam-Aholics enjoy the season finale of Love & Hip-Hop?! We definitely were left with a lot of unanswered questions….. but we’re back with more of your answered Love & Hip-Hop requests!

Kimbella was spotted wearing a custom jumpsuit in the scene where she and Somaya confronted Erica at the club. She completed her club look with nude louboutins, burgundy chain purse and Hermes belt.

Although Kimbella was rockin’ a custom piece, I did find a very similar jumpsuit….

As you Glam-Aholic’s know I live for BIG earrings! The bigger the better!  I’m always on the hunt for dazzling earpieces to knock me off my feet. As a child I would sit in my mom’s closet for hours playing in her earrings, so my addiction is serious! LOL Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of studs, but nothing beats a pair of oversized “look at me” earrings to set your look on fire! So you can imagine how excited I was when Mia Ray bought me HUGE pair of 70’s inspired bass earring for Christmas :)

But this week while making my weekly salon visit I stumbled across my latest addiction. How dope are these lightning bolt earrings?!

Since I spotted these precious gems in the cutest store ever, Head OverHeels Shoe Boutique, I‘ve been love! Soon as I saw them, I immediately thought about the pair Cassie wore in a music video.  I definitely have to recreate Cassie’s look when I wear my earrings!

Mixing & MAC’n: Warp Speed Cremesheen

Hi, my name is Lauren and I confess: I am addicted to ‘Warp Speed‘ Cremesheen Lipstick by MAC! Somebody stop me!  It’s a very soft dove grey almost white. It can be used as a base coat, a top coat or worn alone. The best part is you can use as a “controller” for other lipsticks to either turn them down or turn them up…

In the three looks I incorporated ‘So Chaud’ matte lipstick, ‘Media’ satin lipstick and ‘Up the Amp’ amplified lipstick.

‘So Chaud’ is a very bright orange, its matte so it’s very potent. I applied ‘Warp Speed’ first to tone the orange down to an easy everyday color.

‘Media’ is a sultry dark cranberry/brown. I used ‘Media‘ to line my lips and then smudged ‘Warp Speed‘ in the center. Excellent for a night out on the town.

‘Up the Amp‘ is a vibrant fuschia/violet. I applied it only to my upper lip to create a fun and flirty look.


‘Warp Speed’ can stand alone or be paired with virtually any color in your collection. It’s neutral, not over powering, and AMAZING! The next time you’re at your local MAC counter give it a whirl!

Rihanna’s Hawaii Style

While enjoying her time in Hawaii, Rihanna is definitely making headlines and that means her style is what everyone is focused on. We live for RiRi’s head turning looks and as always she brought her A-game to the beach!  Before heading to Hawaii Rihanna tweeted a sneak-peek picture of her closet. I spy nothing but Louboutins, I would love to raid her closet!

As she made her way through the airport, the stylish singer stayed true to her native roots sporting a Pendleton for Open Ceremony tribal pencil dress $179.

Our favorite Glam-Aholic turned up the heat and had our emails going H.A.M when she was spotted in this Norma Kamali sheer panel swimsuit $350, showing off her sick body! This gave us motivation to get up and hit the gym lol!

 And if that wasn’t enough Rihanna pull off all stops rockin a pink Mark Fast dress as a cover up! Showing how we can transition and rock a piece more ways than one…and get your money’s worth when dropping big bucks on a Mark Fast look. That big curly mane adds everything to this look!

The always stylish, Kim Kardashian was spotted out in LA shopping and running errands. Kim looked dashing in a very 70’s inspired look; wearing a coral Equipment Signature Blouse $207, a pair of tan Angelica Wide Leg Pants by Rachel Zoe $260.

The color combination alone is killer! Kimmy kept it classy and accessorized with her favorite wardrobe essentials: a Hermes Birkin bag, Hermes cuff and a pair of Christian Louboutin platforms.
