The UK’s Rita Ora slays the cover of The Sunday Times Style April Issue! The Roc Nation artist looks stunning decked out in vintage inspired patterned pieces, embellished denim and of course Christian Louboutin Daffodil platforms! Her platinum locks and dark lip is definitely having a moment. I honestly don’t see the comparison to Rihanna, Rita’s in a league of her own!
The 90′s shirt-tied-around-waist craze is back and emerging as one of the hottest fads for the Spring and Summer! The revamped old school trend is becoming a street style favorite with some of dopest trendsetters. Kanye and Rihanna are huge fans of it, spotted sporting the shirt-tied-around-waist in several different ways!
This is an extremely relaxed look, with a bit of a twist. A basic pair of jeans and top can start it off, move forward by wrapping the shirt around your waist and it’s an instant hit. Casual with a pair of sneakers or dressed up with a pair of heels. It’s the perfect way to turn your blank canvas into a masterpiece…just have fun with it! There’s no right way or wrong way to do it. Just take a shirt and wrap it around your waist lol!
This trend brought me back to my childhood. I remember watching Saved By The Bell and seeing them rock their shirts like this. I would walk home from school and do it before I got to my block, knowing that my grandma would make me take it off saying that I was stretching my shirt out lol! Or on field trips when we were tired of wearing our jackets, this would be it’s resting place. Never thought it would be a poppin’ trend again!
I picked up my flannel shirt from the Men’s department at Walmart for $7. You can use ANY long sleeve shirt that you have in your closet; blue jean, flannel, plaid, graphic tee…it doesn’t matter. I ripped these Joe Jeans many years ago for no reason at all, I was going for a more grundy look so these went perfectly. Paired with an Army graphic t-shirt and my favorite boots (can’t stop wearing them lol), I completed my look. Imagine this fit without the shirt around my waist, boring right? See what I mean? This simple twist will take it to the next level.
So don’t be afraid, it’s an easy way to update your causal look without over doing it!
This week Stuff Carter and I decided to try something a little different! A denim manicure! Using those always fun and easy to use Sally Hansen Salon Effects, she made this manicure werk!!

Hey Glam-Aholics! I want to start by saying I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL HAIRSTYLIST! If you are nervous about dying your hair, I suggest that you consult with your hairstylist!
With that being said, here’s what I used to achieve the fabulous Ombré look!
What You’ll Need:
I used 1 packet of Loreal’s Quick Blue Powder Bleach and their 40 Volume Developer
1. Seperate hair into even sections with small rubberbands (clips work great as well)
3. Use Tint Brush to evenly apply bleach to the ends of the ponytails you’ve created.
4. (Optional) wrap your hair with sheets of Aluminum foil to speed up processing.
5. Grab your iPad, Phone, or laptop and check out the latest in fashion and beauty on Confessions Of A Glam-Aholic for the next 30-60 minutes while your color is lifting.
Every 15 minutes or so, check your foil burritos to monitor color. The longer lengths of my hair is jet black so it took a hour or more for the color to lift. However, my top layers are more of a chestnut brown so I didn’t have to process as long. *The lighter your hair the faster it will lift, be sure to continually check it.
6. Rinse bleach out, shampoo, and *Super Important* condition your hair with a conditioner specifically for colored hair. Blow dry and style as desired…
7. Be Glam..Be Fab..Be You- Mia Ray
Just a relaxed look on my way out the door to pick my son up from school, run to the post office and to visit Stuff Carter to get a manicure! Nothing too spectacular lol!

I’d been eyeing a pair of boots like this at Steve Madden and just wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend almost $200 on them. I’m glad that I waited lol! I got these boots from Bakers for almost $100 off! I must be crazy not to have gotten all three colors, sooooo I’m gonna make another trip back to the mall today to pick them up. I just can’t walk by a good deal!

Hey guys, it’s Autism Awareness Month!! I usually just post a picture of my son and I, with a brief message about becoming educated on Autism. Well, this year I thought it would be dope for you all to actually meet this character lol! I talk about him so much that a lot of people feel like they really know him, without ever hearing a word from him! I wanted to share our story as inspiration to others, in hopes that any mothers that are struggling with the early stages of Autism can see that there is hope. I hope you enjoy this small snippet of our journey and this silly guy that rocks my world
