I’m Addicted To My: Kim Kardashian’s Tom Ford Sandals

Do you have that one item in your closet that you just LOVE to wear?! You have to stop yourself from putting it on everyday?! lol Well don’t feel bad…we all do it, even celebs! Keep in mind there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with rockin’ what you love whenever you like!

Lately, it seems like Kim Kardashian can’t keep her feet out of her Tom Ford Lace-Up Sandals. Ever since she started her super-hot romance with Kanye West, the reality starlet has made plenty appearances in her strappy footwork. It wasn’t just all work and no play with Kim and her Tom Fords.  The Dash doll didn’t miss a chance to rock her sleek sandals courtside, sitting next to her new beau.

The black python lace ups features a slim gold heel and they were all the craze to Kim while on her promo tour in London.

 Whether she’s getting ready for a big event or walking the streets hand in hand with Yeezy, Kim is definitely addicted!

OOTD: Farrah Fawcett & High-Waist Jeans

Last weekend I had the pleasure of co-hosting a local event and opposed to my usual uniform, I wanted to switch my style up a little. I went for a more casual look, geared by the shirt tied around the waist trend. That jean button-up has been hanging around in my closet for years and as I rushed to get dressed (I mean seriously as I was running out of the door), I grabbed it and tied it around my waist. As I walked by my mirror, I was surprised and happy that it all made sense lol!  I’ve stated before that I’m obsessed with this infamous photo of Farrah Fawcett, so I almost had a fit when I saw it hanging up in Urban Outfitters…I had to have it! Just as with the previous Notorious B.I.G shirt that I snagged from there, it was from the men’s department. Which is fine, I just got a size small and made it werk.

I wanted to play with the colors in the t-shirt, not going directly for the main colors in the tee…but the same color family. I had been dying to wear these high-waist jeans that I’d picked up from Swank Boutique. They are the EXACT same fit as the American Apparel “Easy” jeans that we’d featured in the Emily B. post from our event at Swank! American Apparel only offers black, light blue and dark blue. The great thing about these are that they’re great pieces for sorbet color blocking or just adding a few shades to your wardrobe for Summer!  They even offer them in two other colors (yes I snuck and took pictures to show you guys lol!)…

Glam-Aholic Trend Alert: Optical Illusion Pants

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Who would ever think that Beetlejuice’s pants would be fashionable in 2012? lol! The striking jailhouse look is a fast-paced growing trend, that’s locking up the fashion world. I’ve been head over heels for the two-toned pants ever since I saw LaLa in them. These striped dual shade bottoms added depth to each of her looks, whether she rocked them day or night.

Optical illusion bottoms give a whole new meaning to striped pants. You can pick up the rockin’ bottoms at your favorite haute spots. Not to mention, the two contrasting colors make for the perfect eye catching look. Just slip on a plain top and/or loose fitted jacket and without a doubt you’ll be cool enough for Summer. You may also add a touch of neon to your look, just because the pants are black and white does not mean that you have to stick to the script. As you can see, a lot of the celebs added dabs of color to their ensembles to give it some extra uumph!

Glam-Aholic Remix: Draya’s H&M Jumpsuit

I’m sure most of us remember seeing Draya in this super cute jumpsuit last year. I became even more excited once I found out that I could afford it and could be found at H&M! Too bad, so sad…it was sold out at my local H&M smh. But one day while window shopping on eBay, I decided to search to see if I could find it, and I did! I know how you can get charged an arm and a leg when buying exclusive pieces on eBay, but I believe I only paid about $35 or $40 for it…

I’ve had the jumpsuit for over a year now and I just now decided to wear it on Mother’s Day. I kept it really simple, but I wanted to add a little flare to my look instead of just wearing the jumpsuit alone. So I pulled my headband down and wore it across my forehead, covered my shoulders with a floral print cardigan from Forever 21 and a pair of fringe olive green sandals that I’ve had for years, also from Forever 21.

I wanted to bring my look to life by bringing out the brightest color in my cardigan, and I just so happened to have a purse to match! I purchased this pouch bag from Target about two weeks ago for $20 and I keep trying to wear it with everything lol!

You know they say great minds think alike, so it’s no surprise that Arjaunjubri owns this jumpsuit also!

When I first spotted the H&M jumpsuit I walked right by it, assuming it would do nothing for my figure. Then as soon as I saw Draya rockin’ the hell out of it, I knew I had been wrong! Luckily, my Aunt has a great eye for fashion and purchased the jumpsuit. Since she never got a chance to wear it, she gave it to me. I’ve worn this jumpsuit 3 times and each time I wear it, I style it differently.  This time around I kept everything to a minimal, accessorizing with simple envelope clutch, nude pumps, gold chocker necklace and big wavy hair.

2012 is definitely looking like the year of 90’s fashion comebacks. The revolving door of fashion has spun and landed on the return of front tie tops. The baring midriff fad has become an instant hit with fashionistas worldwide! This trend takes me back…I remember rushing to the bathroom before recess to tie up my Catholic school uniform shirt like Britney Spears lol!

In the 90’s the tie up shirt was known for it’s sex appeal, this time around the style is more relax and polished. You no longer need to expose your whole belly to make this trend come alive. By just placing a loose knot around the waist and showing a peek-a-boo of skin is all the sexiness needed.

Twisted up shirts can be spotted at our favorite shops in every print, pattern, denim and neon color imaginable. Front tied tops can be worn with many of your wardrobe staples; jeans/shorts, leggings, bodycon and maxi skirts. I love teaming my top with high waist jeans since I don’t have washboard stomach. High-waist jeans give me the right coverage so I don’t worry about my belly showing. If going out to purchase a tie up shirt isn’t in your budget…don’t worry.  Have a button up that’s a little oversized!? Just simply tie it up at the waist and like magic you’ve got a new shirt! Whatever route you choose you’ll be feeling the Summer breeze through your twisted up top!
