Happy Holidays! This Christmas was a great one. My children and I have agreed that this was one of the best and most joyful ones that we’ve had thus far, then again we say that every year lol My boyfriend and I were up most of the night like most parents putting toys together, and right back up at the crack of dawn. As you can tell on the photo above, I needed a nap lol But with such a fun-filled day of house-hopping, I had to keep the party going and put my best foot forward.
My thoughts while getting dressed were to be simple, cute and comfy (my fashion formula). I knew we were going to eat good, so I wanted to wear a great pair of jeans to help disguise all the delicious food that I overindulged in (simple). I also wanted to toss in a bit of holiday style, so I rocked my blush pink shaggy fur jacket (cute). And you can never go wrong with a great graphic t-shirt (comfy) to rock with your favorite jeans. Santa was so good to me that I couldn’t resist wearing my new Zara boots to complete my look.

I’m no art connoisseur, that’s for sure. I was introduced to Jean-Michel Basquiat through the many rap lyrics of Jay-Z expressing his love and respect for the artist (judge me if you like). It was then that I researched, read and learned more about Basquiat and his work. So, once again mixing hip hop, fashion and now art…this shirt was an instant purchase! Let me add that it’s not just a regular cotton t-shirt, it feels soft and luxe. I think I’m going to buy another just for backup!
