Zip it up, zip it down or unzip it open, there’s no wrong way to zip! The over exposed zipper detail is one of this season’s hottest commodities. We’ve taken notice of this embellishment popping up in some pretty unexpected places. Clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry and everything in between; the effective fasteners have been spotted running through. No longer something you conceal behind fabric, they are now a fashion center piece.
When Givenchy’s front zipper dress moved gracefully down the runaway it was all she wrote. The leather dress with front zipper detailing added a tough edge to an otherwise sophisticated ensemble and I’ve been lusting over this trend ever since! Instead of it being of the norm, it was something very alluring about the exposed zipper. Designers choose to use the accents because they’re dimensional and make an otherwise simple design pop. I would make the exposed zippers the focal point of my outfit. Or I could add a zip clutch or boot to my relaxed look and watch it transcend. But, I wouldn’t go overboard because I‘ll look like I’m wearing a strait jacket LOL! If you’re not head over heels for zippers, you can incorporate the fad into your wardrobe with a subtle pair of pants like Cassie. The fasteners aren’t only for edgy motorcycle style; zips have a lot of curb appeal. Especially, a center back zipper dress which is polished enough for a business meeting and fun enough for drinks after.
Although, zippers aren’t much of a new trend, just being revamped (like all trends), for a more chic and feminine feel. We’ve just taken notice of how the trend has comeback with a vengeance and ready to transform any simple piece. So, the next time you’re looking for a LBD to wear to a black tie affair, opt for one with a zipper and you won’t go unnoticed.

Cassie gets supermodel chic for the latest issue of LoveCat Magazine. The first lady of Bad Boy oozes sex appeal as she poses for each frame shot by the creative Steven Baillie. Her perfect golden skin showcased in a metal bra and neon spandex skirt is enough to send us in a fashion overload. The added glossy finish and vibrant backgrounds made this spread one hell of a shoot! The five page spread hits newsstands this month!
Cassie ripped Paris Fashion Week to shreds! The singer/model kept us guessing with every wardrobe change! Cassie showed up and showed out in oodles of fringe, printed pants, bright florals and endless amounts of fur. Who else could rock a bare chest and Cavalli blazer and make it look like a piece of cake? lol
It was a total fashion overload. With an abundance or trends and style, she flip-flopped from tomboy chic to ready to rip the runway. Let’s not forget about the hair! Those Chinese bangs and twisted braid had me oohing and aahing!

As you Glam-Aholic’s know I live for BIG earrings! The bigger the better! I’m always on the hunt for dazzling earpieces to knock me off my feet. As a child I would sit in my mom’s closet for hours playing in her earrings, so my addiction is serious! LOL Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of studs, but nothing beats a pair of oversized “look at me” earrings to set your look on fire! So you can imagine how excited I was when Mia Ray bought me HUGE pair of 70’s inspired bass earring for Christmas

Ombré hair color is trending like crazy! Our favorite trendsetting celebs have been seen rockin’ the sun-kissed beach look. Ombré hair simply means hair is darker at the roots and gradually gets lighter as it reaches the bottom (So basically its grown-out roots).
A few months back I decided to try out this look with the help of Team Glam-Aholic’s lovely stylist Khabirah (ByKhabirah.com)! What I loved most about my Ombré is that it’s low-budget in cost (no touching up your roots every 4 weeks) and it’s effortless, edgy blonde look.
If you decide to lighting the tips of your hair, you want to make sure to consult with a professional first! Also, I would suggest you invest in some protecting products so you can maintain your bleached-out locks.

The Finishing Shine is almost like a serum and mist combined, it can be used as a detangler on wet hair also and not to mention, it smells really good too! When used on dry hair, I’ve only tried it when I left my hair curly because I find that it doesn’t offer a very fine mist, which would weigh my hair down when worn straight. So for me, it’s better for scrunching into my curls to give them a great shine. For the amount you get it’s a pretty good deal!
