Classic denim now has a new look! I know many of you Glam-Aholics may be wondering what exactly is wax denim?! Wax jeans have shiny leather sheen with the same comfort of denim. It’s like the best of both worlds! Wax denim is your basic denim jeans coated with pigment to give it a “wet” like finish..

Just like some of your favorite pair of jeans, the wax does fade over time; however the shiny finish will stay.  Wax jeans have been flying under our radar for a few seasons, but are now becoming more relevant in stores everywhere!

Unlike pricey leather pants, wax jeans are affordable and can be worn with any and everything that you would rock with your standard denims! Making them one of the season’s must-haves for every Glam-Aholic…

There’s nothing like a pop of color to brighten your days! This season it’s all about adding the perfect pair of colorful heels to kick up your style routine.  Although it’s not Spring yet, you can still amp up your Winter with a bright pair of heels. Fashionista’s everywhere have been raving about the candy coated footwear trend! Even our favorite celebs have been spotted in the eye-catching brightly hued heels.  Remember when we featured Angela’s bold bright neon footwork from NYFW 2011? She definitely murdered these looks…

If you’re ready to add some extra flavor to your Winter wardrobe, then this trend is for you!  Bright pumps are the perfect statement piece to spice up a LBD. Who could forget the image of Beyonce stepping out in a pair of Aqua Louboutins?! She definitely let the shoes do the talking with this look…

Winter is here and it’s time to pull out those sexy thigh high boots! Well if you’re any thing like me, they were never put away from last year! I’d often times wear mine in the Summer with a pair of booty shorts or a mini-dress. Teyana Taylor rocked her with a pair of denim Daisy Dukes, graphic t-shirt and vest…mixing hers boyish style with the sex appeal of the thigh boots..
The over-the-knee boots are an essential piece to have in your wardrobe, it offers you versatility. Besides keeping your legs warm in the Winter, these fierce boots will give you the ability to mix really soft & casual pieces with the rough added flare that  black leather thigh boots bring to a look!
Not only as platform, 5 or 6 inch heels…flat thigh boots are a must-have also. Transitioning from day to night, or from casual to dressy…this trend can still be accomplished. A plain white t-shirt, jeans and a jacket will make the cycle complete, you can NOT go wrong with that!

2011 MTV Video Music Awards: Best Dressed

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards will probably go down in history for more reasons than one! But let’s just stick to what you guys came to see! Here’s our best dressed looks of the night…

Beyonceeeeee’!! Need we say more?! Looking like a greek goddess in this orange Lanvin gown, she rocked the hottest accessory of the night…her new baby bump!

Kelly Rowland did her thang with this look! Wearing two of the hottest Fall trends for this year, a plunging neckline and feathers! Simple accessories, a pair of black peep toe Christian Louboutins and bronzed brown skin, made her outfit complete!

Little Miley Cyrus is all grown up now! I really enjoyed this look. Loving everything about her burnout, flower print Roberto Cavalli gown. The only thing I would change would probably be her choker/necklace, I think an empty neckline would have looked great!

Amber Rose kept it sweet, simple and comfy! This is definitely something I would wear!

Justin Bieber channeled his “inner gangsta” last night. The teen heartthrob hit the red carpet in pair of YSL Mojave Leopard printed cowhide sneakers, tuxedo blazer accessorized with a YSL pin on the lapel, red skinnys, thin optimal frames and gold rope chains. Not too sure why he was carrying that snake in his hand tho O_o

 Kanye & Jay-Z’s special performance last night was stadium status! Kanye went for a more relax fit at the VMAs wearing a western style ombre denim shirt, Balmain jeans, a wrist full of colorful bead bracelets and his own kicks…Nike Air Yezzy 2.

 Chris Brown’s performance last night was A M A Z I N G! While jumping and flying in the air, the singer wore a white tailored tuxedo suit with gold pins attached to his lapel and pair of white Maison Martin Margiela high-top sneakers.

Lady Gaga was a man last night right? Oh ok…he/she looked…nice O_o

The songstress wore a Gold sequin Roberto Cavalli dress, red YSL pumps and vintage Susan Caplan cuff. In another promo shot, the motivational singer traded in the her pumps for a pair of white steel toe Giuseppe Zanotti wedges, a form fitting Moschino dress and rocked the same vintage cuff. Kudos to Joel Dash, Kelly Rowland’s Stylist, he’s doing a fabulous job!

Kelly Rowland Gives Fashionable Motivation

 Kelly Rowland’s style recently has morphed her from tomboy cutie to sexy vixen. She has ditched her signature red streaks, crop tops and jeans for Versace, Christian Louboutin and Charlotte Olympia. Showing us that she has not only grown as an artist, but as a style star! There will be no comparison to Beyonce’ over here at Confessions. Kelly is definitely her own woman and can stand alone, in both categories of music and fashion…

While at X-Factor auditions in Cardiff, Ms.Rowland flaunted a tangerine colored Victoria Beckham Spring 2011 dress, paired with  royal blue Christian Louboutin Daffodil suede platform pumps. Another color block ensemble that stopped me in my tracks! Don’t you know that one picture you see, that you make a mental note of to try and recreate from your own closet? THIS is a look that I must try!

She was also spotted in London mixing while matching with denim on denim, paired with aviator shades and a humble amount of accessories. Wearing a tied up light wash denim shirt paired with dark skinny jeans and sky blue peep toe pumps, is such a casual way to look cute and comfy while out shopping!


Kelly Rowland x Versace skirt x Charlotte Olympia pumps. Nothing much to say about this look besides she MURDERED the red carpet! Do not think for one moment we forgot to mention her hair…that wig is everything!

Kelly has been shutting any and every event down recently. We’re wondering if she has hired a new glam squad to achieve these sick looks. Either way…we are enjoying the view! Kelly is definitely giving us motivation ;)
