‘Single Ladies’ Style 101

Like the old saying goes “All good things must come to an end”…well until the next season of ‘Single Ladies’ that is. This season was AWESOME! The fashion alone sent shock waves out to all the viewers! Watching Anthony L Williams styling work on Stacey Dash aka Val each week was like getting your very own fashion lesson. We haven’t seen this much fashion on TV since Carrie Bardshaw made her exit on HBO in 2004. I loved the fact that each look of the characters were defined. The wardrobe matched the scene, her mood and personality. But, what else can you expect when your working with one of the best stylists in the industry! I’m truly going to miss watching Ms.Valerie Stokes prancing around Atlanta in her fabulous outfits every Monday. Until next season, I’ll leave you Glam-Aholics with Val’s final looks of the season with commentary from the mastermind behind her looks, Anthony L. Williams…

Bow Tie Look: “The look for less. I took a blouse from a thrift store and had it altered, replaced the buttons, added the bow and took a $5.00 blouse to greatness. The bustier beneath really gave a vintage vibe. Can’t go wrong with a sweetheart bustier when it fits.”

The Wedding Grown: “I wish you could have seen the bottom of the gown. The Christian Dior 2004 collection inspired the white gloves. The gown was a size 8 and I had it cut down to a size -0. the fit was amazing, detailing was beautiful.”

Nude High Hem Feather Dress: “Another Anthony L. Williams original. I most definitely wanted her to be the center of attention in this dress. It’s hard to make volume, embellishments, feathers, and silk organza look sexy, but with the right combination of all elements sexiness and greatness was achieved.”

Last but not least, the plunged back cream one piece…who doesn’t love a good tailored jumpsuit?!

We wish Anthony L. Williams much success with his career, and we’re thanking him for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak with us in for our previous ‘Single Ladies‘ post! We can’t wait until next season to see what he has in store for us!

‘Single Ladies’ Style 101 With Anthony L. Williams

The mastermind and genius that is Anthony L. Williams, is the driving force behind the stylish wardrobe of Val a.k.a Stacey Dash on VH1’s hit show ‘Single Ladies’. We first met Anthony on Project Runway Season 7, who could forget the brilliant and vibrant designer?! One of his pieces has even  graced the cover of Marie Claire magazine, on the body of Heidi Klum! Anthony hails from the South, originally from Alabama, a graduate of Alabama University and is now a freelance designer residing in Atlanta. Besides hemming and sewing, he’s a Style Ambassador for Macys, in which he travels to stores all over the U.S. to host and bring insight to women on how to keep their fashion going forth & fabulous!

Confession’s Of A Glam-Aholic was BLESSED enough to get a chance to talk to the fashion guru himself….

It was a true HONOR to speak with Anthony! I was nervous and shaking leading up to the interview, but once we got on the line with him, it was pure joy. He was so down-to-earth and comical, that he made us feel like we were just kicking it with an old friend! I have a feeling this will not be our last time speaking with Mr. Anthony L. Williams… I can just feel it :)

‘Single Ladies’ Style 101

Yay!!! I’m so excited that ‘Single Ladies’ got picked up for a second season! To be honest I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I couldn’t see their glamorous fashions each week…

Again, like always, Val stole my heart in the vintage Thierry Mugler dress paired with blue-suede Louboutins for a pop of color! As if that wasn’t enough, she confirmed that she was the queen of color-blocking in her custom green pencil skirt designed by Anthony L Williams, fuchsia tissue t-shirt and blue Louboutins! This bish is bad (both Stacey & her character Val!) Anthony ….what more can I say!?

Inspired by all the Vintage Glam, I remixed Val’s two other looks of the episode.

Until next week, I’ll be obsessing over the Vintage Thierry Mugler dress!
