Ok, so this has been on my mind lately and I wanted to ask you guys about it. Each time that you apply lipstick, do you also line your lips with liner? My answer is no. Sometimes while I’m on-the-go, I dig down in my Glam-Aholic cosmetic pouch *shameless plug*, roll on some lipstick and keep it moving. If I have the time, I’ll sit down and apply liner. I feel that if you know how to apply lipstick…you will give off the same effect, with or without a liner. Am I wrong? So the question arose in my mind again while on twitter as I noticed Nicki Minaj’s new avatar, and the first thing that caught my eyes were her lips…
I’m stuck wondering if her lips are lined with a brown liner or did she only apply her lipstick to the inner parts of her lips? Confess your glam and let me know what you think!
I tried to YouTube a proper way to apply liner, but I was very unsuccessful in that journey…sheesh! In the words of @MonaLisaStylez “YouTube is NOT FOR EVERYONE!!” lol!
nope..i don’t apply lip liner…i guess a part of me feel its so old school…but i just found out if u add a little gloss to the middle of the lip the lipstick won’t feather…now thats info u can use…
It depends on the lipstick! Like if its really light, I usually will. And thats because I have pigmented lips, like above, and that look she’s sporting will irritate my LIFE!! But if its a already pigmented color, like red, pink, plum, etc…. Nah!

I wear lip liner with lipstick 98 percent of the time. I like how the liner adds more color. I’m a mixer, I may have on a lip liner , lipstick, and lipgloss all at the same time. I like the color that emerges from the mixed combinations. It looks like Nicki has on a lip liner, it could be a light color like Mac’s cork lip pencil. I wear cork with my Ruby Woo faithfully.
I wear a liner w/certain colors, I just recently purchased Mac Honey Love and Chai to go on top. But because of my complexion I had to get a Liner. But Normally I just apply the lipstick and keep it moving!…I think it depends on the shade/color

Nicki minaj’s avatar caught my eyes because of her lips. I love it. I think she just applied the lipstick on her inner lips. It looks sooo cute. Im new to wearing lipstick, so ive never applied lip liner. I want to try this look though…
Nicki isn’t wearing liner. I’ve noticed her rocking this look often. It’s perfect for someone like me who has very full lips. I usually don’t cover my entire lip. EVER! Lol. To me liner is a thing of the past. You can create dimension with just your lipstick it’s all about how you apply. Ditch the liner ladies!! Unless of course you are super hooked and can’t get enough of it. 🙂
For me it depends on the color ESPECIALLY when wearing very nude colors. I like to line my lips when I’m wearing a nude color to contrast the colors instead of it being like BAM and not blending with my complexion. There are a few things wrong with that pic of Nicki Minaj. It looks like she needs to rub her lips together, she needs some gloss cause her are looking a bit “tyrone biggumsish”… and I think she needs some liner (not brown tho). I ABSOLUTELY hate when women wear black or brown liner with EVERYTHING.
