I LOVE SHAPEWEAR!! I wear it often. I need it and can’t live a stylish life without it. It makes my life easier! It’s not about making me look 2 sizes smaller, it’s about making my outfit look and feel smoother. I am 5’4 and 165 lbs, so I’m far from being slim. I have stretch marks, dents in my thighs/booty and let’s not forget about the rolls in my back. Once upon a time, my grandmother bought me a girdle after I first gave birth. I held on to that girdle for YEARS. It was tight, painful and let’s not forget that I couldn’t breathe! But honestly, it defeated the purpose of wearing it. Often times you could see the imprint underneath my clothing…how embarrassing! One time I hugged a guy and he felt it, he then asked me if I had on a bullet proof vest LOL
That was it, no more old school girdles for me. Thank the fashion gods for new and improved shapewear. I’ve tried different kinds, that would either not stay in place or not really hold me in place like I wanted. I eventually came across secret by Victoria’s Secret…
I wear these boy shorts with everything! Jeans, dresses and even leggings. It helps hide all my lumps and bumps. It also smooths out my stomach area when I wear bodycon dresses. 9 times out of 10, any picture that is on Confessions….I probably have my shapewear on underneath lol! I even convinced my best friend to purchase a pair and she loves it. The shorts are seamless, so there is never any evidence that I have them on.
I don’t care what size your are, shapewear can always help to improve your look. This shapewear was a great investment. I will be stocking up on the entire collection just incase it ever gets discontinued. (Don’t you hate when you fall in love with something, then the company discontinues it and you lose your mind? Or is it just me? LOL)
