Behind The Scenes For www.SameGirlDifferentHair.com!

I recently did an AMAZING photo shoot for the upcoming launch of SameGirlDifferentHair.com! I am so excited to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of Glam-Aholic Lifestyle and Same Girl…Different Hair, that I don’t know what to do lol! So, with my vision and the expertise of stylist Marv Neal, we managed to pull off a few great looks to compliment my excitement 🙂

For this look we went “business with a twist of edge”. I picked up this suit from Forever 21, back in the beginning of Summer. It’s the only suit I own and when I saw it, I knew I had to have it (of course)! A suit with this type of boyish, tuxedo cut is a must-have and especially at the price that Forever 21 has to offer. I found those  Wild Pair leopard booties on the clearance rack at Bakers for $30 last year and they hurt like HELL! This will probably be the first and last time I ever wear them, I should have left them on that rack lol! The leather crop top is from Swank Boutique (@SwankAPosh) and I thought it would add a bit of spice to such a serious suit.

The winter white dress was perfect for the classy silhouette we were looking for. Paired with my favorite pair of Jeffrey Campbell t-straps, I picked the “Little White Dress” up from PNK Elephant. With a form fitting AND white dress, please believe that I had my Victoria’s Secret shapewear on underneath lol!

I am a hoarder when it comes to great pieces. Everyone has asked where oh where did I pick up this tu-tu skirt from, but it’s actually a dress! I purchased it dress back in 2009 from Forever 21 for a New Year’s Eve party that I was attending. I figured I should keep it because it may come in handy someday, and this photo shoot was perfect place for it. It helped us achieve the “tomboy chic” look that we were going for! Everyone knows how much I love my city, so it was all about support and love while rocking my “Detroit Vs. Everybody” hoodie, that you can purchase at www.DetroitVsEverybody.com!

And I must send a BIG thank you to the amazing hair stylist Genevieve (Facebook: Genevieve Edwards) and make-up artist Kamaria (Facebook: Kamaria McCullough), for doing such a WONDERFUL job! This shoot would not be complete without you!
