I can remember my style sister Solange wearing this insect set earlier last year. One side of me thought “Eeeew sis, I hate bugs…even stylish ones!”, while on the other hand I thought “Hmmm, this is super fashion-forward and innovative.” Like seriously, who walks around wearing printed insects on their clothing. You’d definitely be sure to standout in the crowd wearing this type of design. But I wasn’t too sure if Mia Ray would be the person to wear such a look lol!
Fast-forward to this week, as I tackle this bug battle once again. While shopping in H&M, something caught my eye. I picked up the hanger, held it up to me…searched for a mirror, pranced around for a few seconds, then decided to put it back. With my obsessive behavior, I repeated this about 3 more times before I decided to just leave the store to go home and think about it.

Here’s why I love it. It’s different. I made a list of resolutions for the new year, that I will step outside of my comfort zone and try new things. And wearing a bug printed ensemble is definitely something new for me lol I also like the contrast of wearing the pieces as a set, having the different shades come together to make a color story. It’s a simple look with a twist.
I’m still sleeping on this set. What do you guys think? Am I buggin’, or should I give this style a try?! #ConfessYourGlam
Lol at “am I buggin’.” Although Solange’s look is super chic (like always) her bug set creeps me out. Just looking at it makes me get goosebumps. But the H&M set that you were looking at is a little more doable in my opinion. The bugs aren’t as noticeable and it actually is a very sophisticated set. I definitely think you should give it a try. I’m sure when you rock it you will look fly as always 🙂
