Look, I apologized okay. I didnt mean to bring Bri down. I have no issue with her. Perhaps my feedback should have been sent directly to Mia. Fashion is fashion, we can all agree to disagree.
This isn’t a battle of the big girls. My comment wasn’t an ode to “anything you can do I can do better, i can do anything better than you”. This wasn’t a plea to have a “show me your sequins, big girl” dance off. Puhleaze lord no. But with this site you are branding urself and your team WILL get judged based on what you put on your site. Seriously. You think your “auntie june” would let her team, her kids, her besties, her ANYTHING be photographed looking less than stellar? ummmm not never. if they are, they so dont get the invite to the photo-op.
I like the site, like the concept, everything. But Mia, look at the pics you post of you. Even if they taken via webcam, you aim to look a certain kind of way right?

Now look at Bri’s. Come on now. Why can’t you get your girls pics to be of the same quality is all I’m saying. Don’t have her out there like that. ON YOUR SITE. Then give her a feature as the go to plus gal for fashion tips for us other plus gals.

(SIDEBAR: It does tend to be an issue though: the skinny chick friend with the all out attempt to look fly then her equally potentially fly or rightfully fly fuller friend who doesn’t get the same attention or shine cuz she standing in the glow of the skinny chick. #imjustsayin But that’s another topic for another post.)
TO BRI: I mean you no harm, and have no ill-will. I was irked by the site when I saw all ur pics up that weren’t the best quality compared to Mia’s. My anger should have been redirected toward Ms. Glamaholic herself. And I am also an advocate of THE TEAM. A person’s (especially a woman’s) team should be:
-Close enough for her to say, ummm no, that’s not flattering
and
-real enough to say it even when its hard to
and
-knowledgeable enough to know what to critique and what to leave alone
ALL WITHOUT ENCROACHING UPON THE INDIVIDUALITY OF SAID WOMAN.
Not an easy task, hence, why most people dont have good TEAMS or don’t have them at all. (In the celeb world, this is called PR) A TEAM is not the nod-and-smile posse, agreeing to all sorts of shenanigans just for the sake of keeping the peace and faux friendship. (Who wants a yes woman in her camp?) A TEAM does not quickly tell you that looks good so that they can get back to how THEY look. A TEAM does not compete with you but helps you look YOUR best. A TEAM is a mutual relationship. You don’t deserve a good team if you can’t be a team member.
So, I’m sorry, Im a passionate chic. I get overly sensitive when I see an inherently fly full gal not get the proper credit she is rightfully due AND especially when she has A TEAM that could have intervened.
I said a lot.

Let’s state facts… for whatever reason you decided to submit negative comments on my POSTS! This week we dedicated to our Plus Size Glam-Aholics! Since the plus size community lacks inspiring role models I always try my hardest to represent for my curvy girls! I’ve come to realization that your issue is deeper than the post, blog and SGDH tee…I recommend that you take the timeout to LOOK in the mirror and LOVE YOUR SELF IMAGE FIRST!
