We got a chance to chat with the beautiful and talented recording artist Bridget Kelly recently while her tour made a stop in our city. Arjuanjubri got her fashionable thoughts on trends, style and most importantly confidence!
Arjaunjubri: We are a very budget friendly blog, what are your favorite budget friendly stores to shop?
BK: I would have to say TopShop or ever so often I go into H&M to get tank tops…
Arjuanjubri: What does your style mean to you?
BK: My personal style is really just another form of expression for me. So I dress how I feel that day typically, or dress for the occasion. I consider my style to be tomboy chic. I’m more comfortable in pants, I wear a lot of black…I’m a NYC girl at the end of the day, so I wear a lot of leather. Scarves and sunglasses are really my thing.
Arjuanjubri: What are the must-have pieces in your wardrobe that you just can not live without?
BK: Honestly a lot of sunglasses, leather jackets, I have a couple of coats with fur collars for the Winter. Red lipstick, Ruby Woo by MAC is definitely my favorite. Those are the things I don’t leave home without!
Arjuanjubri: One last question! What are some tips you can give our Confessions Of A Glam-Aholic readers on how to achieve stylish looks?
BK: I think you really have to learn your body. Learn your shape, learn what fabrics and colors look good on you. I’m not really a person that follows trends. I try to figure out what fits me the best, what I’m the most comfortable in. I think comfort is the sexiest quality you can leave your house with. When you’re comfortable, you’re confident. You don’t necessarily have to follow what magazines says is hott or just because everyone else is wearing flowers, doesn’t mean flowers is necessarily gonna be your thing. Whatever asset you have, that you love…master it!
